Animal rights charity PETA has announced John Bishop and Lily Cole as its sexiest vegetarians of 2013.

Bishop, who's been vegetarian for almost three decades, starred in the charity's Chicks Love a Vegetarian campaign, while Cole made the switch to vegan more recently and has been vocal against manufacturers that use shark liver oil, or squalene, in moisturisers, conditioners and lipsticks without proper labelling. Previous winners include Leona Lewis, Anthony Kiedis, Eliza Doolittle and Russell Brand. Comedian Ricky Gervais was also named PETA's Person of the Year 2013 for his 'animal friendly' approach to social media.
